The Widow Frances McCrea welcomes you to Frenchtown New Jersey and her charming Victorian Bed & Breakfast Inn. Built by the Widow McCrea in the 1870’s, renovated and restored by your hosts over a century later. A short walk will bring you to Frenchtown’s charming shops, fine local restaurants and the scenic Delaware River. Relax on the porch and absorb the ambiance of our charming river community or stroll the town and shop for fine art, antiques, or almost anything else in our many diverse and varied quaint shops, galleries & restaurants. Rent a bicycle built for two and pedal along the Delaware River’s Historic Canal paths to pastoral settings and magnificent riverscapes. Return to the Widow’s house to be fussed over by your hosts and … to be watched over by the spirit of the grand lady… Toast your day with a complimentary bottle of wine, cozy up to one of our three Romantic Fireplaces on a chilly evening or relax in the comfort of one of our oversized Jacuzzis, before retiring … to your snug feather bed in our Private Kase Family Cottage or one of our Spacious Suites and tastefully appointed Elegant Guest Rooms, each with a private bath. In the morning, you will be awaken by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, and delectable dishes being prepared by the Widow. Breakfast will be served by candlelight in our Victorian Dining Room. Where is the Widow McCrea House B&B Inn? Centrally located within 2 hours from New York or Philadelphia
  • From New York City, connect with the New Jersey Turnpike. Take Exit 14 to Interstate 78 West and follow to Exit 15 (Clinton/Pittstown).
  • At the bottom of the ramp turn left onto Rt. 513. Proceed 11.8 miles to Frenchtown. (Please note: at 4.3 miles, in Pittstown, you will need to turn right in order to remain on Rt. 513). In Frenchtown, turn left onto Rt. 12. The house is 3/10 of a mile on the left. From northern locations use Interstate 287 South to access Interstate 78 West and follow above directions from Exit 15.
  • From central NJ and northern shore points
  • Take Interstate 287 North to Interstate 78 West. From central and southern NJ shore points take Interstate 195 West to Interstate 295 North becoming Interstate 95 West. Take last exit in NJ, follow Rt. 29 North to Frenchtown. Turn right onto Bridge Street, then right onto Rt. 12.
  • From Philadelphia take Interstate 95 North over the Scudder Falls Bridge to first exit in New Jersey. Take Rt. 29 North to Frenchtown. Turn right onto Bridge Street, then right onto Rt. 12.
  • Daily bus service is available to and from New York City.
