Countdown to Bastille Weekend – Frenchtown NJ 2017

In this country we celebrate our Independence Day on July 4. Ten days later, the French commemorate the end of the monarchy and the beginning of the French Republic.

On July 14, 1789 a mob in Paris stormed the Bastille. They liberated the prisoners held there and set in motion the French Revolution.

Frenchtown celebrates Bastille Day every year. Festivities will engulf the town on July 15. Every shop, store, emporium, restaurant, cafe and gallery will be participating, along with music and amusements galore beckoning visitors.
